Glamour Waves Tutorial

June 5, 2013 | Posted by Nicole

Prom, graduation and wedding time is here. And the Red Carpet sets hair style trends once again with TV series such as Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and on the Silver Screen like the latest, The Great Gatsby.

These looks are all very elegant, yet sexy and soft. The waves are worn subtle and compliment any face shape. This femme fatale look breeds quite a pedigree.

To start this look you will require some tools and products suited to your hair type. Whether it be rollers, a curling iron or just a dryer with a round brush. It is very important to use a heat protectant and a flexible hold / smoothing product to help those fly-aways behave.

Quick Tips

• Start when your hair is wet and using a deep side part is best
• Always use the largest sizes when round brushing
• Keep curls around ear level
• Always keep sections clean using clips and pins. And when your curls are cooled down, brush vertically to smooth, tame and set your wave in place.

My Tools and Product Choices

• L’Oreal Constructor (heat protectant, hold and flexibility)
• L’Oreal Anti-Frizz Hairspray
• L’Oreal Crystal Gloss (always use a gloss spray before hair spray which results in breaking down)
• Babyliss 1“ Pro Curling Iron
• Dannyco Smoothing Brush
• Tail Comb • Curl Pins

Stars Sporting this Look

• Amanda Seyfried
• Lana Del Rey
• Blake Lively
• Megan Fox
